Palanok was an investigator in Ancient Gandrisar, and took on the role of uncovering threats, exposing wrongdoing, and pursuing concerns that others often overlooked. Confident, determined, and exceptionally persistent, Palanok possessed a strong belief that problems rarely disappeared simply because they were ignored. Specially designed recording lenses worn over the eyes allowed events to be replayed and examined repeatedly. Conversations, incidents, and seemingly insignificant details could be reviewed long after they occurred, helping Palanok build a clearer understanding of situations that did not quite make sense. While many Fregiebots focused on their own fields of expertise, Palanok spent much of the time connecting pieces together. Rumours, unusual behaviour, unexplained events, and conflicting accounts were rarely dismissed without further investigation. Once a concern attracted attention, Palanok found it difficult to let go until a satisfactory explanation had been found. In the years leading up to the destruction of Gandrisar, Palanok became increasingly concerned about Ivernool and the growing signs that something nefarious was going on. Attempts were made to involve Aneris in bringing these concerns to wider attention, but the warnings never gained the momentum Palanok believed they deserved. Palanok did not survive the fall of Gandrisar. However, the dedication shown by this Fregiebot inspired Aneris to attempt a comprehensive investigation. This investigation formed the foundation of The Book of Palanok, a highly influential book in the underground community. Determined, perceptive, and unwilling to ignore uncomfortable truths, Palanok represents the importance of asking difficult questions when others would rather look away.
