Jembis is a naturalist and one members of the Enclave community, and is known for high level senses and for carefully studying the underwater environment through observation, documentation, and scientific reasoning. Organised, methodical, and highly analytical, Jembis spends long periods examining ocean currents, plant life, storm patterns, and unusual natural phenomena that many others simply accept without question. Like most members of the underwater community, Jembis originally followed the teachings of Damazanism completely. However, while studying the natural world, certain discoveries began revealing explanations that did not align with interpretations being delivered through the Temple. Believing the information might genuinely help improve understanding, Jembis approached Shizayus respectfully on several occasions to discuss these findings. Those discussions became increasingly hostile on the part of Shizayus. Rather than attempting to challenge the religion publicly, Jembis quietly withdrew from the community and eventually relocated to the Enclave, where questioning and investigation are treated with far greater openness. Despite growing doubts surrounding the Temple’s leadership, Jembis remains calm, thoughtful, and deeply respectful toward others who still believe. Discovery matters far more than conflict. Careful, intelligent, and honest, Jembis represents truth pursued through observation and understanding.
