Aneris was a reporter within Ancient Gandrisar, known for sharing uplifting stories that brought comfort, optimism, and emotional connection to the community. Gentle, empathetic, and naturally drawn toward hopeful narratives, Aneris believed strongly that information should help strengthen the emotional wellbeing of others rather than burden them with fear or despair. Although close friends with Palanok, Aneris often struggled with the darker investigations surrounding corruption, danger, and political tension. Stories filled with suspicion or conflict felt harmful rather than constructive, and Palanok’s warnings about Ivernool were never treated with the seriousness they deserved. Everything changed after the destruction of Gandrisar. Fatally injured and surrounded by the collapse of the ancient world, Aneris spent the final days of life attempting to understand what had happened using the evidence, observations, and investigative methods Palanok once tried so desperately to share. Piece by piece, Aneris reconstructed the story surrounding the fall of Gandrisar and recorded it for future generations. That work eventually became known as The Book of Palanok, a text that would later grow into one of the most sacred and influential writings within the underground community that was founded by survivors of the catastrophe.
