Jabuju

Jabuju is one of the Mystics, a group of Fregiebots whose abilities seem to operate beyond ordinary explanation. Even among the Mystics, however, Jabuju is regarded as unusual. Conversations with Jabuju often end abruptly as Jabuju drifts into a trance-like state, wandering away without warning and leaving others uncertain whether anything unusual has happened at all. Jabuju’s aura is impossible to define. Fregiebots find Jabuju reassuring and welcoming, while also experiencing an inexplicable sense of unease. Most report feeling both at the same time. Although Jabuju is consistently kind and helpful, there remains a lingering sense that something about Jabuju cannot be fully understood. During periods of deep trance, Jabuju may disappear into the forests surrounding Fregibot for days at a time. Stranger still is the effect Jabuju can have on others. A simple shake of Jabuju’s head has been known to cause nearby Fregiebots to abandon their current plans and pursue an entirely different course instead. Jabuju feels most at home within the Mystic Zone, though sightings among the Ancient Ruins are common. Wherever Jabuju spends time, routines tend to upend and carefully organised plans often head in unexpected directions. Whether this is a direct result of Jabuju’s presence or merely coincidence remains a mystery (but the correlation is high). Enigmatic, intuitive, and unintentionally disruptive, Jabuju represents the unknowable side of Fregibot’s world.
